Welcome! This is my first post. The idea of this blog originated after I completed my HTML class, LIS 753 – Internet Fundamentals and Design. The class took us through the evolution of the internet, website design and management. It was such a rewarding class that at completion, I decided to install a WordPress blog on my HTML website to pursue my interest in technology trends, social media tools and how they affect libraries.
I believe that with the rapid evolving technology trends, it is important for libraries to embrace changes in technology to reshape their services in order to enhance their users needs. As for those of us still in library school, we also need to stay on top of technology changes in preparation for when we will have practical needs for them.
So at the moment, I’m listening and observing the blogosphere to determine (please allow me just one Latin phrase) my modus operandi. For now I’m just taking baby steps, so stay tuned…
